Basic Paragon Build
Hey,
I need help finding a basic build for my paragon. It's only use is for progressing through EOTN, not that it's that hard, I just don't feel comfertable with my current build, it's not fun and pretty clumsy.
So with that, could anybody recommend a nice PVE build for my Paragon? =)

Well, a better idea I think would be to post your current build, and we can help tweak it. That way we aren't suggesting a complete overhaul of what you currently have.

So that is your build... first off:
Its a viable paragon build with decent damage, good adrenaline management and (maybe) the best damage reduction skill in the game.
Nothing clumsy there =)
I personally would get rid off Leaders Comfort ...
the 2sec cast time is really annoying for that bit of self heal and in pve the monks or your healers (I use N/Rt for that mainly) should take care of that anyway.
This opens you up one more utility slot which can be filled either by a secondary profession skill or party wide damage boost like anthem of envy or flame ... but that really depends on your whole team set up.
A really nice addition from factions is "Save Yourselves!" as warrior secondary. But that involves having that campaign and some faction grinding as well ... by no means necessary.
Some reminders:
Make sure you hit vicious attack first and right after that (actually at the same time) Go for the Eyes and not the other way round ... you will notice that a deepwound is caused much more frequently.
Also remember that:
Adrenaline gain will not stack to exceed +100%. Which means that the max you can get from Focused Anger is at 10 leadership. Also a furious spear head is "useless" while having FA up ... consider vamp or zealous as better mods in that time.
Cheers,
Timebandit

Maybe it's not clumsy, but it's not fun anymore - especially after the nerf, I find it a lot harder to maintain energy and the damage seems low.
That's why I'm looking for something else.
(And BTW, how do you show the skill icons in my quote? ^^)

This is how:
[ skill ]skill name[ /skill ]
(no spaces in the skill brackets tho --> [/skill])
(skill name has to be spelled and spaced properly, and shouts need proper punctuation with the quotes and exclamation)
[ skill ]Frenzy[ /skill ] ---> [skill]Frenzy[/skill]
[ skill ]"Watch Yourself!"[ /skill ] ---> [skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill]

[skill]spear of lightning[/skill][skill]wild throw[/skill][skill]"go for the eyes!"[/skill][skill]leader's comfort[/skill][skill]signet of return[/skill][skill]ballad of restoration[/skill][skill]song of restoration[/skill][skill]anthem of flame[/skill]
That is the build I use, I know that gfte got nerfed and it isn't the greatest build but I find it fun. I put in wild throw because so many enemies in Nightfall use stances and gfte was energy management and some extra damage for me and the mele in the group. Anthem of flame, again, for some extra damage and ballad and song of restoration because the henchman (and pugs) suck and it was a good way to help keep them alive.

An IAS (Increase Attack Speed) skill is always good. Something noone else seems to have touched on. I used to use [wiki]Aggressive Refrain[/wiki], but since that's been "altered" I find [wiki]Soldier's Fury[/wiki] to be a better option, powered by [wiki]Enduring Harmony[/wiki], [wiki]"For Great Justice!"[/wiki] and [wiki]"Watch Yourself!"[/wiki].

This is the build i always seem to gravitate towards whenever i play para:
[card]Spear Of Lightning[/card][card]Barbed Spear[/card][card]Blazing Finale[/card][card]"They're On Fire!"[/card][card]Anthem Of Flame[/card][card]Aggressive Refrain[/card]There's Nothing To Fear![card]Signet Of Return[/card]
Maintain blazing finale on your frontliners, and anyone under attack. Then spam your shouts. Allow TNTF to end before recasting so that the effect kicks in.
I may use this build mainly because ive never persevered with my para long enough to find a decent elite to use with it. Play around with it. Its fun.

If you're playing with heroes/henchmen you really don't need Signet of Return. If your group dies so much the monks can't keep them up then you're probably better off just respawning at a shrine anyway.
Also, needs more "Save Yourselves!" Especially if you're running Focused Anger anyway, the synergy is already there... plus it helps compensate for the nerfing of TNTF!

Oh okay ... now I actually get your question (slow loader here):
You want an alternative!
A second build i played around in with early nightfall with was a basic condition spreader which you might find fun to try:
[skill]barbed spear[/skill][skill]disrupting throw[/skill]Spear of Fury[skill]cruel spear[/skill][skill]"Go for the eyes!"[/skill][skill]anthem of flame[/skill][skill]apply poison[/skill]"There's Nothing To Fear!"
Swap out spear of fury for signet of aggression, natural temper or another spear attack of your choice If you don't have a Luxon/Kurzick Title at hand.
Not a great build but fun to play at times.
May others be more helpful,
Timebandit

Maybe you can help me with my build, too.
[skill]Spear of Lightning[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]"Save Yourselves!"[/skill][skill]"There's Nothing to Fear!"[/skill][skill]Enduring Harmony[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Soldier's Fury[/skill][skill]Signet of Return[/skill]
The attack-skill can be changed, but i'm more serious about "WY!". I've read it stacked with PvE-Skills.
Even if not, i need a shout or chant to get the IAS from Soldier's Fury when "FgJ!" is recharging, any ideas?
